Food is Medicine Risk & Resilience Simulation
Ripple Effects
Food is Medicine brings food and health partners together to advance health. Ripple Effects is a facilitated tabletop simulation that invites participants to explore what those partnerships need to work—and what helps them remain resilient when conditions change.

What You’ll Explore
Who brings the capacities your partnership needs
How values influence partner selection and compromises
How services, costs, and responsibilities fit together
Where partnerships are vulnerable and what could strengthen resilience
How it works
Participants step into the roles of farmers, community organizations, health care providers, payers, and other partners. Using character cards and a shared service worksheet, they discover one another’s strengths, explore values alignment, and build a Food + Health partnership.

A Simulation We’re Building Together
Ripple Effects is in development through the NC Food is Medicine Coalition. Our introductory workshop is “Session Zero”: an opportunity to explore partnership building and help shape future versions.
We hope to bring the simulation into communities and partnerships across North Carolina to explore the programmatic, financial, and collaborative dimensions of Food is Medicine.
